It’s been 2 weeks now since I went to my GP to discuss blood tests and by coincidence had a rash that had only appeared 2 days before which I showed him..and that of course turned out to be scabies!

So far husband and son haven’t shown any symptoms, I’m not intimate with husband and son has own bathroom and spends most of time in room or out ( typical 19 year old).

We’ve all done the 2 treatments now ( not sure how well they did theirs).

I’m so hoping they don’t get it….just wondering if anyone else was the only member of the family to get it, needing some hope.

2 weeks of anxiety, fear, tears and hardly any sleep. Terrified of Xmas - I want to cancel going to see family and holiday with friends , but GP so positive and has told me it’ll be fine …I just want to run away to a desert island with my phone and a daily supply of ivermectin .

Terrified of being a super spreader.

No one else I know has it.

Please only comment if you can give me hope.
I google all day long looking for hope, I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be β€˜normal’.

I had scabies years ago. No one else caught it (and it took me a while to realise what it was so definitely opportunity to spread it).
if you have all done the treatments then you will be fine.
Definitely go out and about and enjoy Christmas.
Hug people. You are fine.

Thank you so much Bobbi, your kind comments nearly made me cry as I feel so vile.
can you remember if you itched after treatment? I have been really itchy since the second treatment on Sunday.
Did you get any bumps as you healed?

My main rash on my forearm is rapidly fading.
