I think it is pretty big. The web services are used by many companies

littlbrowndog · 20/10/2025 09:13

Duolingo is down

PandoraSocks · 20/10/2025 09:15

John Lewis is down too. I was about to buy some boots!

Eta: is back up now.

marigoldsareblooming · 20/10/2025 09:15

Even Grok is down! The normal news channels here are so slow to react. My DS and all his friends were all over this at least 15 minutes before there was a tiny mention on a news website. Won't bother me but their will a heap of pissed off people come the morning Northern Hemisphere time.

I have only seen the outage reported in the independent newspaper here so far

ItReallyDoesntMatterAnymore · 20/10/2025 09:16

It's on Skynews website now. DD was complaining avout Roblox being down and Avatar World not working either about 30 minutes ago.

AppleStrudel16 · 20/10/2025 09:19

This is a list of everything that has gone down

Snapchat, Ring, Roblox, Clash Royale, Life360, My Fitness Pal, Xero, Canva, Amazon, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Music, Prime Video, Clash of Clans, Fortnite, Wordle, Duolingo, Coinbase, HMRC, Vodafone, Playstation, Pokémon Go.

AppleStrudel16 · 20/10/2025 09:19

Not entirely sure what’s wrong with my previous post but I tried to post what’s gone down

littlbrowndog · 20/10/2025 09:22

If it is a picture they always look at the picture first I think

Nope, just a copy and pasted list from the independent article! Oh well

ItReallyDoesntMatterAnymore · 20/10/2025 09:27

Banks affected too according to Skynews.

littlbrowndog · 20/10/2025 09:27

Yes just saw that some banks are down

marigoldsareblooming · 20/10/2025 09:32

Well FFS lets just hope it's not the Soviets or Iran ( laughs awkwardly)

WE ARE DOOMED

rainforclouds · 20/10/2025 09:34

Great, do we assume more of our personal data has been harvested for nefarious reasons?

Mewling · 20/10/2025 09:35

Praying my personal debt is erased. 😂

UtterlyOtterly · 20/10/2025 09:37

Hoping my almost 1000 Duolingo streak is safe.

But that is very trivial, many people will be far more affected.

littlbrowndog · 20/10/2025 09:38

It’s on bbc website now

Everything is relative!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/10/2025 10:58

Some (all?) Ring doorbells aren't working.

This outage illustrates the issues with being far too reliant on 'big tech'.

EasternStandard · 20/10/2025 11:06

In Aus too? It makes sense but I didn’t think of it
