Thinking of moving to Nelson from the UK with 13yr old sporty boy and 9yr old girl with mild learning disability. Hira primary looks good option for our daughter - any advice for high school? i’ve heard support is non existent. Also interested to know what teenagers feel about Nelson - is there enough night life for them or mainly outdoor daytime activities. Safety is a must - i’d also heard of a gang house on Parere street - any major concerns especially with a teenage boy? We have lived in NZ before and have citizenship. Never lived in the S Island though. Last place was Papamo but kids were very little so a different time and needs. My partner visited Nelson recently from the UK - looked at schools etc and loved the place. I’m a little worried it will be too small with teens but keeping an open mind. Thanks in advance!
