Childcare options Sydney

My family is moving to Sydney for a year (possibly longer) in January - we are looking for nurseries for our kids, who will be 3.5 and 1 when we move. Does anyone have any advice re navigating the childcare system, and/or areas to look at? We won't be able to look at any nurseries in person and it's quite scary to enrol our kids in childcare settings based only on online info. Any advice welcome!

Hi I live in lower north shore Sydney. It's a huge city with many different areas!
best thing is to narrow down what area you will be living in and then join a local Mums Facebook page to get childcare recommendations. eg North Shore Mums group or Northern Beaches Mums on Facebook.
then contact the centres to put yourself on the waitlist, and keep calling them to check your place on the waitlist- otherwise they may forget about you and you get pushed to the bottom of the pile.
if you need recommendations for good childcare on the lower north shore around Chatswood/ St Leonard's you can message me :)
