Flu spray vs jab

We’re in the U.K. at the moment and my kids just got their flu vaccination as a nasal spray. The nurse just vaccinated the whole school in one go. So how come we don’t have that in Aus? My kids have always had the flu shot every year as an actual injection.

You'd have to ask the Aussie public health authorities or whoever decides on and runs the vaccination campaigns. Is it a national issue, or do states decide for themselves?

I have no clue - it just seemed so efficient and easy to get the whole school done in one go and obviously a nasal spray was wildly preferable to getting a shot.
