21 year old ds work visa NZ

My ds has a visa to stay in NZ for a year.

He wants to work on an organic farm, one of the schemes where food and board is paid. He is interested in doing other work in NZ and travelling. He needs to investigate what other work is available. Can anyone point us in the right direction to research? He has a degree in Environmental Science and if he gets another job for a while he would need somwhere to rent while he works. He would like to travel around for a while in NZ also.

I know the cost of living is high, but any advice/insights welcome. Thanks in advance.

Is he on FB? The Moving to New Zealand page has a fair bit of information. I'm pretty sure there is a WWOOFing page too.

There is a labour shortage in NZ so he should be fine to find work. TradeMe.co.nz has jobs and flats listed, as well as houseshares.

As well as woofing, I'd recommend HelpX and WorkAway. He won't get paid but he'll get full board.

He's a lucky/smart boy to have his mum researching on his behalf! Props to him OP, he's learnt how to delegate!

He could try seek.co.nz

Great, thanks for replies, I'll pass the info on to him. I'd love to visit New Zealand myself. Has anybody emigrated there from the UK?

😂 @PostOpOp I am interfering he doesn't know I'm posting this to ask for info!
