Can I wear this out in public?

I made this jumpsuit out of some fabric from my stash that I always thought of as fairly horrible home decor type stuff. It was only meant to be a toile, but now I'm kinda loving it. Possibly due to the heat addling my brain. Give it to me straight: do I look like an overgrown von Trapp child wearing someone's granny's old curtains?

The fit is really good and I’m always a fan of people wearing whatever they want out. One thing though, your pattern placement on the front is a bit eye catching and a little bit on the back too. Just if you were thinking Of a similar pattern for the final item.

Definitely! It's fab . You're very clever. I can just about sew a button on Grin

I would compliment someone on that if i saw it regardless of if i knew if it was made/bought

Well done you!

Well done on making it, but I agree that the flowers at the front look like boobs and a bit odd on the bum too. Great effort though.

DaisyChainsForever · 09/08/2020 16:33

Well done OP, Looks like it's well made and a good fit. I do agree with the comments about the flower boobs though. If you're going to make another I think a slightly smaller print would work better.

NancyPickford · 09/08/2020 16:49

Good fit, but my eye is constantly drawn to the flower boobs!

Bearlet · 09/08/2020 16:53

Bah, I'd convinced myself that the unfortunate flower placement wasn't very noticeable. Guess I was wrong. Grin I'm planning to use a tiny Japanese print for the final version, so it shouldn't be an issue. I'll wear this one around the house. Thanks, everyone!

Love it!! It looks lovely on you and well done for making it, but have to agree with the above comments with flower placement!
But if you were out and about I doubt people would notice!
