Can anybody recommend a good (and not too expensive!) pack of watercolour pencils please? I have a set of 24 WH Smiths own brand ones but they don't have the colour range or quality that I want.

I can recomment Derwent 'Watercolour' pencils [about £2 per pencil] have alook online for special offers on the various sized starter tins they do. Most artist suppliers will supply single pencils to replace the colours you use the most. I suggest the tin of 24 to start with as that will offer you a greater range of blendable options. They also produce Aquatone, a solid pencil shape stick of colour.

If you prefer a more intense colour look out for Derwents 'Inktense' costs a little bit more but worth it if you love a greater deapth to your colour work.

The intense ones are amazing. Fantastic colours.

Inktense. Bloody autocorrect.
