A challenge for you

I've been meaning to do this for ages, and thought, maybe if a few of us do it I'll stay motivated.

I was reading this article, and thinking I've been struggling to get motivated creatively recently, so maybe doing something every single day will help.

I hope some of you will join me, I'll start tomorrow. With the aim of creating 365 pieces of work.

Wish me luck.

Hello, I'd like to join in please!

I won't be able to finish something every day, but I aim to do something every day.

So this evening, I will be working on the knitted red hooded sweater for DS.

Jack what about Etsy/Folksy?

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 19/05/2010 07:48

I think that's the best idea wasying tbh..

DD2 has a chest infection now and DD1's cough is sounding horribly flemmy so not managed much. Have finished bodice for her dress and sewn up some fabric dolls bt all the finishing stuff is really hard with children limpeted on me

I keep making random things and frogging them as I don't feel right either. Oh well, onward and upaward!

Agree that finshing something everyday when you are a crocheter or a knitter is a little optimistic

Dingle · 19/05/2010 16:46

LOL..it's even optimistic as a card maker!

I have deffo decided I don't like my knitting, I think it's the combo of chunky wool and reversed stocking stitch....onto plan B.....which I do not know the details for yet!

One of my DT's looks like it's ceasing which at least will free up my crafting time with doing things I actually want to do..if that makes any sense. Shame I am such a ditherer and don't know what to do really isn't it!

Anyway, not exactly something every day but a couple of creations a week is good for me!

Finished this card this afternoon when Mr Postie arrived with some new crafty goodies for me to play with!

wastingaway · 20/05/2010 20:36

Oh that's very pretty Dingle. Lovely colours.

Well I did knitting on Monday and Tuesday, missed last night as was watching a film with DH and we had even both turned our laptops off so no knitting either.
I've got a migraine-like visual disturbance thing going on and a non-settling toddler so the evening's stitching I'd planned may have to be abandoned.

I have however, dug out the instruction book for the sewing machine I have.

JackBauer · 21/05/2010 13:53

I have made a necklace and flower but having uploading issues again as my phone is playing up, will load them up later.
Finished bodice and 2 inches of DD1's tunic too!

wastingaway · 22/05/2010 21:18

I did loads of knitting last night.

And today I have pinned and cut out the fabric for the trousers I'm making for DS.
Going to do more knitting shortly.

wastingaway · 24/05/2010 20:11

I've been knitting. And gardening. That's creative right?

Kaloki · 24/05/2010 23:32

Been too hot in the flat to do anything but sit in front of a fan!

Must get back on to doing things, am meant to be making my own wedding dress, so that's something..

Ooh Kaloki, are you sewing it? I think I've a 70s pattern for a crochet wedding somewhere.
