Making an easter costume - HELP!

My 4 year old son has an easter dressing up day at preschool (the letter said no spiderman please!) eeeek.

I've tried to BUY something but am resigned to the fact that I'm off to Hobbycraft when husband gets home, to panic buy some fluffy material...

Thinking I could buy some rabbit ears then make a tabard type of thing - don't know where to start - any pointers?!

you could make some rabbit ears quite easily if you make some out of card and then attach them to a cardboard headband.

the tabard could be made out of a pillowcase but i should think a t shirt would be ok too. just add a nice tail (powder puff?)
