I was given an embroidery frame by my aunt and don't know how it works. Its like this one

I can't manage to get the fabric taut.

I think you have to sew the material to the frame and then can turn the ends on the frame to make it taut. We have an older version (about 40 years old) at home and that's the idea behind that one.
