I have bravely cracked open the new sewing machine and will be attempting to make roman blinds for dd's room. Starting with narrow window and workking way up to large one! I have lovely cream fabric with pink dots (very Cath Kidston but from Dunelm Mill...) Lining with blackout fabric from there too. I've not used this before and don't know which is the right side - one is very smooth and slightly shiny, the other is slightly rougher. Or maybe it doesn't matter?
Think the woman that cut the fabric for me in shop did tell me but have forgotten - am such a crap mum that dd is 13 months old and still haven't made up the blinds; bought stuff prob when she was 6m old . In my defence, she slept so well as a tiny baby didn't need them but this year is waking earlier with sunrise.
sorry for ramble!
