Inspiration needed for Year 4 Art Lesson!

If any of you arty-types could help, I'd be SOOOOO grateful!! I've got to teach a Year 4 class in a couple of weeks, a 2 hour lesson based on their topic of 'Houses and Homes'. They have already completed a clay plaque, a watercolour picture of their dream home and a wallpaper printed pattern for a room in their house. We have a major display to do of their art work and I'm looking for a one-off lesson with that 'wow' factor that will lead to a visually exciting display. Collage, maybe? Many thanks!

What about getting them to build a 3 D room (old shoe box) and decorate it. Not sure how long it would take to do in a large class (dead easy at home - we made a home for the DD1s Polly Pockets). If you thought time was short, perhaps they could work in groups, some building, some painting wallpaper (unless you get them to bring in samples - good old B & Q) and some making furniture. If each group had 1 (or 2) rooms each you could put it together to build the whole house.

Good luck
