i would love to do the bright swirly patterns.

i have heaps of clothes that need 'new life' breathing into them, mainly white items.

what dyes do i need to use to get multiple colours on one garments, and any youtube vids to help with instruction?

many thanks.

I found these dyes for cotton which look better than the Dylon ones.
You could try wrapping small bits of the material with thin elastic bands and dip dyeing them.

Ooo i did this when I was at school

Die a shirt in a base colour (light)

Then put a bundle of marbles (not essential) in teh centre of your circle and tightly tie string around the bits you want to sta base colour.

The leave a gap and tie more string etc.

I used to use a big bucket for the die and dunk it according to instructions.

just a little tip - don't do shirts that have "deoderant stains" as the die doesn't penetrate the deoderant stain - obv not an issue for the kids.

You can also do "Batique" with candle wax. Drip it on or paint melted candle wax with a paint brush.

I had hours of fun as a teenager.
