OMG CC, You have had a bad time, you must have been terribly worried to say the least abt dh in London, my heart goes out to all those affected in any way by the terrible events. *tard burglars pale into insignificance with the thoughts of the tragedies other families are faced with as a result of terrorism.
I'm glad your family are safe and well.

Whizzz · 11/07/2005 22:20

jayzmummy · 11/07/2005 23:20

Nice cards Layla.
Ive been bust catching up on orders and havent had time to make any new cards.
I sat in the garden at the weekend making beaded butterflies similar to the one you have made....I cant just sit in the sun...I have to be doing something!

Great cards layla. I'm am another one for the felt cards I'm afraid. I love the touch feely texture. Especially if it's stitched or beaded!

layla · 12/07/2005 16:21

Thanks you guys for taking a look.I'm the same JM I just can't be doing nothing.I spent allday one Sunday recently just sitting down making motifs and the butterfly. It was really good fun.I did it downstairs too so I could be with the family and join in with them too.The butterfly took me ages to make.I got a book out of the library on how to make beaded things.

Dingle · 12/07/2005 16:27

LOL about you two, sitting there with your craft stuff!! The chance would be a fine thing, fancy being able to sit down in the garden doing bead work !!! I have enough trouble trying to keep stickly, mucky little hands under control at the best of times and not only that I am usually chasing Amelia in an attempt to stop her drinking water from the paddling pool or eating dirt!
I do have to do something crafty while I watch TV though. The kiddies are in bed them so I don't have to run around like a lunatic and can enjoy my crafting then!

layla · 15/07/2005 14:53

Au revoir folks I'm off to France for 2 weeks today. Will catch up with things when I get back.

Dingle · 06/08/2005 19:49

Bumping for Kezabelle, and a big welcome!

I love metal work, wish I had more time to play ATM! The little metal daisies are fab, did you punch them yourself? I also like the girlie ones and the very simple flower design - is that on vellum?

Will pop back and have a nose at your new ones JM!

Whizzz · 06/08/2005 20:14

The little metal daisies are actually punched out of silver card. I added the wire stems myself ! Glad you like them !

Dingle · 06/08/2005 20:18

I have only recently got that punch! I got it while we were on holiday as I hadn't taken anything "crafty" with me and got withdrawal symptoms!

JM, some fab cards as usual....one of my favs is the denim xmas tree! Shall I start a new thread about ...xmas card ideas!!! Need inspiration and I have promised myself not to leave all of my own cards to the last minute!

Kezabelle · 06/08/2005 21:54

Thanks Dingle, off you have a peek now xx

Kezabelle · 06/08/2005 21:55

Kezabelle · 06/08/2005 22:50

biglips · 25/08/2005 13:14

wow - very impressed with the lot of you !

jayzmummy · 26/08/2005 20:30

I had a real problem today because its my BIL's birthday on Monday. He is really difficult to buy a present for, so when it came to making his cards i was pulling my hair out.
My sister and BIL have a farm.....so his cards all have a farmyard feel to them.

DS2 wanted a "moo moo" on his card.....what do you think?

champs · 26/08/2005 21:58

jayzmummy, what a cheerful card!! it's really nice. I like the personal name on it too.

roisin · 28/08/2005 19:05

Hi!
I've just been browsing your cards website again and marvelling at your collective creativity and skill - well done!
I didn't find anything particularly suited for a special, personalised, classy, not to soppy 40th wedding anniversary (both sets of parents next year). Any ideas or suggestions anyone?

jayzmummy · 28/08/2005 20:49

how about something like this??

Personalised with the names and date of the wedding.

OR

You could get a photograph of them on their wedding day and incorporate that into the card and again personalise it with their names etc.
