I need a pattern for a bed valance

but I can only find them for curtain valances.

Is it called something else?

Any idea where I can find one?

(I can probably make one without, but messing up could be quite expensive!)

Can you use a current one as a template? I have a set of Singer sewing books that give ideas and(probably)sizing/measurements etc and I'm sure you can buy a paper pattern in a sewing shop/larger store. Personally, I'd make it up as I went along and use one as a template.

Thanks, dizzy. Those instructions are almost exactly what I had in mind to do - which makes me a lot less nervous about trying it without any pattern.
