Hi all

Dingle- you wanted to see a fwe of my quilled cards? I Put a few (ie those I made this week) on some photo pages, the addresses for the three pages are:

uk.geocities.com/[email protected]/PeachyclairCrafts.html
uk.geocities.com/[email protected]/CardsPageTwo.html
uk.geocities.com/[email protected]/CardsPageThree.html

There's not a lot of quilled ones yet (I think three designs), I am working at my first freehand one now.

I hope they're not so bad you laugh me off the site!

Dingle- would really like that heart,no great hurry- I have a sale on the 17th if that's not too soon?

THANK YOU!

Dingle · 05/04/2005 23:14

Punnet, I have made a few hearts up for you, have an envelope with your addy on, sitting here, but only 2nd class stamps. I've had a hectic day with kiddies today, went to Down Syndrome group coffee morning and was chasing dd all over the place, and ds has karate on a Tuesday evening now! I have nothing planned for tomorrow, so I will pop them round the post office !

Couldn't get in to the links to see your quilling, told me to try later.

Dingle · 05/04/2005 23:20

Been mucking around with bits and bobs for the challenge since about 2pm! Still not happy with what I have done. Sorry peeps!
I have a free day tomorrow, if you can count looking after a 5 yr old ds and a 3 yr old dd, as having a free day! But it is as free as they are going to get until they go back to school/nursery next week!

AuntyQuated · 06/04/2005 15:01

Champs - ??
AQ - yes to both

pootlepod · 06/04/2005 15:08

I can do eyelets, never tried brads but if I can do them with an eyelet tool would like to.

I have sent both mine off, though forgot to write a note with one of them!! Sorry!

Dingle · 06/04/2005 15:17

Just had a look at some of your designs Punnet. They look great.
How long does it take you to do a quilled card then? I saw a quilled design that look quite fun and I was tempted to give it a go. I put it off thinking it would take forever.

if you can do eyelets PP, then you can do brads, as all you need to do is the hole and a brad is a posh 'split pin'. so you push it thro' the hole and open up the back to stop it falling out.

Punnet · 06/04/2005 16:11

Brads- yes, addicted to them in fact! Eyelets- looking for an excuse to buy a tool, so absolutlely!!

Glad you liked the cards Dingle. The quilled toppers take only about an hour- I just finished one today with three buttercups and a butterfly, and that only took about two hours.

STILL waiting for my last parcel to arrive, it's the blanks but if they're not here tomorrow I will grab a few different ones from my 'stash' so ic an get ahead and post it.

Dingle · 06/04/2005 20:53

Finished my feeble attempt!
Showed DH who thought it was going to be a car, or a bike, or a plane, or football related....
...didn't seemed too impressed!
Oh well, you can't please everyone!
Just labelled up the envelopes and will post out tomorrow.

Sat there tonight making a nice girlie card, and more little golden hearts...much easier!

If it's pants,then it's quite appropriate for a man's card then isn't it!...but I'm sure it isn't YG!

I found the second part of the last challenge quite difficult, using the things someone else had put together...what's it going to be like with this one. I struggled at the first hurdle!

AuntyQuated · 07/04/2005 08:01

YG, my first attempt was cack, my second attempt is pants too; even tho' i used some really nice papers, but nevermeind...men don't notice anyway

jayzmummy · 07/04/2005 08:07

All this talk of underwear has me waiting in anticipation. If you have all done pants...can I ask are they Calvin Kleins or Y fronts??????

Dingle · 07/04/2005 08:57

...My! What a load of pants!!You can get a rubber stamps of some pants can't you!!

hhmmm....that could be quite comical!

Even though I hate making cards for men, I am still enjoying this and looking forward to seeing everyones work.

AuntyQuated · 07/04/2005 16:38

has anyone receieved their goodies today?

i got mine from Dior a few days ago, so i guess that kkgirl's have arrived too but she is away.

pootlepod's goodies to champs have arrived, so i guess that Hi5 has hers.

anyone else?

Dingle · 07/04/2005 17:16

Sorry ladies, not posted mine today as planned. I was in a bit of a state this morning, my mum had to be rushed into hospital, as her dialysis line was partially out, and because she is on blood thinners, my dad had to rush her up to King's again!! She got back home about an hour ago. I just hope the adjusted line will work when it comes to dialysis tomorrow.
It has been awful here this afternoon, came over really dark and had a hail storm, just glad I hadn't decided to walk around to the Post Office with the kiddies. (I still haven't got a raincover for dd's major buggy!)
All sealed up and waiting to go!
SORRY ladies.
