fancy dress for 9 month old girl

I posted in parties, but might be better here...

DD's been invited to a few parties and fancy dress is optional, but I think fun.

I dont want to buy a ready made outfit, I would rather try and make something. Any ideas of what or where I can look for ideas and help?

TIA

Hi babyocho, as Christmas is coming what about a santa outfit, you can buy pretty red sants dresses in most supermarkets, almost certain asda have them. and some little red tights that way she wont be uncomfortable

Haven't been on it for a while, but the Martha Stewart website in America has really great fancy dress outfit ideas as far as i can remember. Good luck!

A bumble bee outfit should be pretty easy to make.

On Martha Stewart's website she has a nice suggestion of mum being a web and baby being a spider, which is very cute.

An elf would be very easy too.

Took DD to a fancy dress party as Bo Peep - put her in gingham dress with white apron and gave her a cuddly sheep.
