Card Inserts

This will be a silly question for all you real card makers, but how is the best way to stick an insert into a card? Do I just glue it to one side of the card or is there a way to stick it down the middle so both sides move, if you know what I mean Thanks in advance!

I tend to just stick it to the back seam edge IYSWIM, using a narrow double sided tape. I run the tape down the card and position the insert onto that.I have found that the easiest way anyway!
You can tie ribbon,threads or fibres around the fold which would also hold the inserts in!

Cool. I didn't think of double sided tape and metallic cord would be a nice touch. Thanks.
