Hi Jaz, sometimes I follow patterns, sometimes I make it up as I go along! The denim bag with the red polka dot frill is my own design. That one I blogged today is from a pattern (there is a link on the blog post).

Welcome to all the new faces !

Had a bit of a catch up on everyone else's blogs ... some lovely work going on.

I've been beavering away on a 'Miss Scribbles' today so I've blogged her

What d'you think ? I'm not really sure there'd be a market for these on my website (still under construction) so would appreciate some honest opinions

hmmmm. . . . i'm not too keen on mr & mrs scribbles - i think if it was a picture your own child had done any parent would love it.
maybe you could offer customised pieces?
i much prefer your parping pooch and your lovely fairytale appliques.

god it's really hard giving a negative response

i have a fresh blog post here

Tillyboo, (hello!!), I think they are a lovely idea, but I think the eyes need "filling in" to give them a little more personality. I like the scribble effect of the sewing though, very effective!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I do appreciate it !
VV - fair point and it did cross my mind to offer these as a customised option but would worry they wouldn't look like the original - I do worry
I do think though that if I continue with these, it's the route to go.

Hubby also said that the eyes didn't look right somehow but I've kept true to dd's interpretation on these but tend to agree they could do with a bit more expression.

I love to experiment and it's good to get good old fashioned honest feedback so thanks all again

I'm off to have a peruse in blogland now.

You need to have a play round with colours/fonts to get it how you like it, jaz - what are you using, is it blogger? There are lots of blogger users on here (I'm not one of them though!) - post a link and they can help sort you out! (Miaou now retires having offered other people's help )
