Hi,

I want to buy some crafty type stuff (wooden name plaques, pegs to hang tea towels, that kind of thing)

I remember stumbling across a website where crafty people sold their wares - like a virtual shopping mall - but can't remember what it's called!

thanks

jivegirl

Oh

It's all in dollars. Is there a similar UK site?

Jivegirl, today in a pound shop I bought door hangers (wooden) You know the ones that you get to hang on the outside of your bedroom door. They were just plain wood, tonight DDs had great fun in decorating them etc, I actually bought them with the view of decorating them for DDs friends birthday presents. Can't believe they only cost a pound!

You can search locations on etsy- to look for crafters in your country or local area. They don't have the currency conversion bit up yet, I don't think, but you can buy from sellers in your own country quite easily. HTH

Thanks pinky, I've worked out how to filter it now. Loads of fab stuff on there!! And will definitely check out the pound store pinkbubble

Hopefully I will put a few more bits on tomorrow

Miaou · 06/08/2008 18:20

Whizzz's I think

Been looking at Folksy but not in depth - what's the verdict?

Whizzz · 06/08/2008 18:31

Well to me it doesn't look as scary as Etsy (i'm always put off by the prices in $$) & although I look on Etsy, I have never bought or considered selling on there. Whether it becomes known & used, I suppose is a wait & see. Don't know what others think

Most etsy sellers will ship over here. Have bought several things, paypal does the conversion for you. Exchange rate quite good atm!

Whizzz · 07/08/2008 09:07

Yes I know JoyS I think it's just the subconcious part of me would much rather buy from a UK seller, it just seems so much easier - totally illogical I know
