I'm making an octagon cardigan for the first time. Following a YouTube pattern, it's working up quickly with a 6mm hook.

I've spent an absolutely blissful day working on it and watching rubbish telly on my own as dh and ds were at the match!

What's your WIP?

That's so nice. Is the overall shape of it an octagon? I'm working on a little kind of shawl / triangle scarf but can't take a photo right now.

You ask like i only have one on the go :-)

In all seriousness i have a CAL on the go, a couple of blankets, a hexi cardigan that i will never finish! A few cushion covers and a mosaic blanket. But shh don't tell my husband.

That's impressive! I have a blanket, a jumper, a pair of socks and a shawl on the go. And an idea for another blanket I'm itching to start on.

I love the colours in the op octagon cardi. I'm making a scarf from some Aldi ombre yarn, in some lovely natural shades.

I found some glow in the dark yarn on Amazon so I’m making some matching little Halloween ghostie cushions.

I’m very much a rookie hookie, having finally taught myself granny squares - would love to do one of those granny square cardigans which is just a pile of smaller squares sewn together with a crocheted edge. Can anyone recommend a good free pattern online? Preferably with a YouTube tutorial.

I’d also be interested in a tried and tested pattern. So many are AI these days and often you can see from the “photos “ that they’ll never work.

I’m doing a granny square jumper in autumn colours. I couldn’t find the right pattern so am winging it. It’s going ok so far, although if anyone knows a good bottom rib pattern for crochet jumpers that would be great

I’m making a throw, using up my stash & using variations on the cat pattern for each set of rows. The set I’m currently working on is four cats on each side facing towards the centre & a central cat facing forward.

(The throw at the back is my first ever big project, an Attic24 pattern).

That sounds lovely 😍 I made 80 retro flower squares to make a blanket but hate sewing things together so they're all still in a box!

Crochet them together instead!

I’ve got two hexagon cardis on the go. This is the style - made this one last month. I ran out of yarn for both current ones though! Been trying to use up my stash so one is a mix of turquoise/greens but miscalculated and I’m one skein short, making another and was using yarn I knew I didn’t have enough of. Really got to stop buying yarn unless I have a definite project in mind

The tendril shawl from Annie design, not started it yet as I'm taking it away with me next week for a little on-holiday crochet project. I've got some lovely dark forest green fingering weight yarn for it.

Yes this. I've started crocheting any knitting I do together too as I can't sew for toffee when it comes to sewing things up.
