Hookers - what's your latest wip?

I'm making an octagon cardigan for the first time. Following a YouTube pattern, it's working up quickly with a 6mm hook.

I've spent an absolutely blissful day working on it and watching rubbish telly on my own as dh and ds were at the match!

What's your WIP?

That's so nice. Is the overall shape of it an octagon? I'm working on a little kind of shawl / triangle scarf but can't take a photo right now.

You ask like i only have one on the go :-)

In all seriousness i have a CAL on the go, a couple of blankets, a hexi cardigan that i will never finish! A few cushion covers and a mosaic blanket. But shh don't tell my husband.

That's impressive! I have a blanket, a jumper, a pair of socks and a shawl on the go. And an idea for another blanket I'm itching to start on.

I love the colours in the op octagon cardi. I'm making a scarf from some Aldi ombre yarn, in some lovely natural shades.

I found some glow in the dark yarn on Amazon so I’m making some matching little Halloween ghostie cushions.

I know! I read the OP & thought, 'MN doesn't have the photo capacity for mine'. 😂

I’m very much a rookie hookie, having finally taught myself granny squares - would love to do one of those granny square cardigans which is just a pile of smaller squares sewn together with a crocheted edge. Can anyone recommend a good free pattern online? Preferably with a YouTube tutorial.

I’d also be interested in a tried and tested pattern. So many are AI these days and often you can see from the “photos “ that they’ll never work.
