Malabrigo Yarn

I am hovering over the 'check out' button, for a basket full of Malabrigo yarn. I've left it last minute, but I want to whip up a couple of Christmas presents.

Has anyone used this yarn? Would you recommend it?

All reviews are received gratefully!

It is lovely and soft, with beautiful colours.
It also felts readily, so don't waste your time buying and knitting with it for someone who will immediately stick everything in a hot wash!
There will be lots of posts about that yarn on Ravelry.

I have a beautiful cardi in this and it is lovely but has gone bobbly :-(

it's really nice for small projects. I also made a cardigan and it is a bit bobbly but ok. Great for hats and toys I'd say.

Malabrigo Rios is stunning - buttery soft but with excellent stitch definition. I have made Andrea Mowry's Honey Moss shawl with it and the experience of knitting with it was just gorgeous. The colours are amazing. I think all soft yarns go a bit bobbly with use, and even though it's superwash, I would probably handwash it personally and use a de-piller gadget. I have just ordered 8 skeins of Rios for gift knits.

I’ve worked with Malabrigo a few times and really liked it. The yarn is soft, sits beautifully, and the colors look even better in real life. If you need something quick for Christmas gifts, it’s easy to work with and doesn’t unravel easily.

Thank you - I ended up ordering eight skeins recently. I cannot wait to receive them.
