Ideas for Christmas (sorry...) napkin rings with pine cones

I am the least creative person ever, so need some inspiration please! I am hosting 11 people for Christmas this year - first time ever, so I thought I'd try to do something nice for the table.
There's a pine tree outside my office with loads of cones on the ground so I'm trying to think of ways I could use them to decorate napkin rings. I'm thinking gold, hessian, pine cones, some small pine branches...and that's as far as I've got. I've had a look online but can't see anything that follows that colour scheme and look. Any ideas gratefully received!

What about something like this? (Picture from The Tended Table on instagram)

You could use thick gold ribbon for the main ring, hessian for the tied section and then a small pine cone hot glued to the knot.

There are also pictures of using large pine cones as place settings (could be sprayed gold)

Take some thin florists wire and wind it round the bottom of the cones, leaving long “tails”. You can spray some of the cones gold. Attach some small gold baubles also to wire, plus a bit of greenery ( trimmed from Christmas tree, or ivy or rosemary - don’t use holly, too spiky). Take a long strip of wide ribbon or hessian and lay out long ways, halfway along wind the wires round the ribbon to attach stuff. Tie round napkins.

Great ideas, thank you! If I decided instead to do a white snow effect on the pine cones what would I use for the snow?

I think you can get a kind of spray snow in Hobbycraft @SirChenjins

If your cones are a bit big for a napkin ring you could take them apart and use the individual scales, if they are opened up already. Alder cones are good for smaller projects.

If you google 'pine cone napkin ring' (sometimes adding 'pinterest' can give more creative ideas) then click on images you'll see plenty of inspiration.

Spray snow in a can

I think I’d go along with something like this. If you want to spray the pine cones there’s definitely products to do so in Hobbycraft and the likes but I personally think they look better natural.
