Can someone explain to me how I’m losing 6 stitchs because my math isn’t mathing 😂 I start with 157 and should end with 151
the pattern says
next row (ws) P12 [15: 15: 17], P2tog, (P24 [27: 31: 34], P2tog) 5 times, P13 [15: 15: 18].

You lose 6 stitches as you do 6 P2tog (purl 2 together).

You do one after the first P12 (or 15/17 depending on size your are making).
You then do P24 (or 27/31/34) followed by another P2 tog.
You repeat thisBsection 5 times as it is in brackets in the pattern
Then you finish off with another P13 (or 15/15/180.

What are you ending with?

So I’m repeating the whole top section on the pattern 5 times , not just 24 purls
so I’m p12 , p2tog , p24 p2tog x5 ?

Yes that's right, anything in brackets gets repeated by the number outside the brackets.

So p25 k2tog 5 times.
