For an unlined jacket?

If so which bit do you trim back the sleeve or the body?

Would a French seam or bound seam be better?

I don’t actually know the answer but what I would do is to trim the sleeve side, as you will be pressing towards the sleeve, and I think a bound seam would look more professional. Let us know how it goes.

No, l don’t think they have much give in them.

I’d bind it.

Possibly but it would depend on the fabric and the style. And I probably wouldn't do it if it wasn't already in the pattern.

I'd only do a French seam with a light weight fabric prone to fraying. And flat felled seam with a much heavier fabric.

I did French seams, they are my go to

But the flat felled on the rest of the jacket is lovely

I might do bound next Time, or just go the whole hog and line it

I kind of start with a pattern then flex it sofollowing instructions doesn't exactly work
