Earlier in my sewing journey I didn't know how to say no when people gifted me things & I would sometimes be given 'donations' where I only wanted maybe 10% of the stuff

Well I still have about the same to get rid of

But I'm on my way to my carefully curated collection with only the bits I want to keep!!

I mean destashed but I get detached works!

Before Christmas I finally when through my scraps - about tens years worth. The one inch square ish and above went to a friend, the 1cm and less thin bits etc all went in a bin bag and a heavy half a dustbin bag went in the rubbish. Just after Christmas anything remotely curtains remnants etc of larger sizes went to the tips clothes and fabrics bin.

last Friday my favourite online sewing club launched their new club. To make a footstool (which you can stuff with all those scraps you don’t know what to do with!!!!!!). 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Oh well done you

With a name change I'm a bit lost!

But I got rid of 10 bags & a big black coffin sized bag of scraps and fabric I won't use!! All but one to other crafters and that one went to the incinerator as our council dont really use landfill

I rarely use charity shops anymore because of waste colonialism

My business is going well, hoping to create a new awning this year and busy booking events for the summer
