Wallpaper - where can I buy an end of roll cheaply

I want to wallpaper a piece of MDF and put up on the chimney breast as a piece of 'art'. I'd like a nice expensive wallpaper, but don't want to buy a whole roll when I only need an offcut, and am trying to make it look nice cheaply rather than wallpaper the whole chimney. Anyone know where I can look for ends? Have tried ebay but there's nothing there....

How much do you need? SOme of the swankier shops will give you a fair bit as a sample - possibly enough to do you!

Thanks nicky - my problem is there are no swanky shops, let alone wallpaper shops near here, so I am internet shopping only! I sent off for some samples - one of which was perfect but only A4 size! Not really what I was after.....

you could try poundland - ours has had some Morris wallpaper in recently so it's not always cheapo stuff!

laura ashleys.. they normally cut you off a rather large piece for a sample.. or just tear some off the roll at any DIY shop... homebase and b7q both have some halfway decent stuff.

I may have something I could send you - just pay for the postage. I'll have a look in the loft at what I have if you're interested. Our wallpaper is either cole and son or neisha crosland mostly.
