Has anyone ever done one of the Royal School of Needlework online courses?

I'm thinking about trying the applique course. Quite pricey though!

I have done two in person ones and they were very good but I am a bit unsure about the online ones. I feel like a kit and some YouTube tutorials might be as good and much cheaper.

Would be very interested to hear from someone who has done one though!

@Webex I've gone for it and bought the one I linked to. Although they say all materials included, I had to go and buy a 10inch embroidery hoop and some bias binding today.

Also, you don't get to keep the online video, you get access for a year. So will need to crack on with it as I can be slow to complete things 😃 The video seems fairly easy to understand (for a newbie like me) but I haven't watched it all the way through.

Got a busy week coming up, so won't get much time to do it this week.

Will let you know how it goes.

@BerfyTigot how did it go? I'm also interested in taking one of their online courses. The 3 year degree would be a dream!

If cost of RSN courses is an issue it may be possible to locate a creative stitching / embroidery guild group within travelling distance of your home. Most will offer cost effective workshops. In such a group it’s usually possible to find someone who is able to demonstrate and teach a new technique you would like to learn.
