What to knit with a million miles of bamboo?

Only a slight exaggeration, I have an awful lot of it. Colours as on the attached. I'm boggled by the options on ravelry. I'm probably advanced beginner but happy to learn or try something new.

What yarn is it?

Is it self striping or do you have all those colours?

How much do you have?

MarmiteWine · 20/08/2023 21:03

Do you want to make a garment? Who for? Or something else?

EllaMenopee · 20/08/2023 21:24

Individual balls of colours, minimum of 500m in each colour, more in the white (so 2500m in colors and pronanly 750m of white). Yarn is Stylecraft Naturals Bamboo + Cotton dk 60% bamboo/40% cotton (I actually didn't realise there was so much cotton in it). I really don't mind what I make, I just want to use it up (I'm sick of looking at it)

I’ve knitted the Retro Top from A Year of Knitting in this yarn, and it has turned out so well - really lovely drape, comfortable and cool. In fact, I’m knitting a second!

Sorry, it’s called ‘A Knitters Year’ from Witre Design.

I haven't made, but really like Cornwallis by Martin Storey.

There's a children's version too.

If you've a need for baby/child clothes the Ravelry page for the yarn shows a few projects for French Macaroon, which I've made more than once.

The colours would make a lovely stripy vintage style summer beach blanket or cover-up.

EllaMenopee · 20/08/2023 22:27

Oh, I didn't realise there were pages for specific yarns on ravelry. I'll have to investigate! I've knitted a few French macaroon baby bits before and they are lovely. I'll look up the linked patterns and a knitter's year too. The Eastern jewels blanket is gorgeous but looks like it's crochet, and I'm crap at crochet. A blanket or throw would be good to use it up but I can't bear to do so many stripes again!

It is crochet, apologies, I didn't realise you were after knitting patterns.
