Home-made Easter eggs?

I know it's early but I meant to do this last year but then left it too late...

I got some Easter egg molds a couple of years ago and as a protest against supermarket packaging, I thought I'd make some Easter eggs with DD.

I wondered what people do to make them look beautiful? ie wrap them in some kind of coloured foil or similar... as I would like to give them as gifts. Any ideas?

use white chocolate & food colouring to make different colours and pipe a design into the mould first?

Tissue paper would be nice, to have wrapped around them. I'm sure old fashioned easter eggs were wrapped in tissue paper, I think it has to be acid free though.

i would suggest wrapping in clingfilm first to keep fresh if they are presents, then wrap in eastery tissue paper and ribbon ..

Thanks. I like the idea of the tissue paper. Sounds traditional!
