Basic sewing button/repairs book recommendation

I would love to be able to put a button back on, fix a hem or do basic repairs. Are there any good beginners books any one could recommend? When I try and look I never seem to find what I want and they seem more clothes making or machine orientated.

I knit and have found Youtibe to be a huge resource for skills based videos.

How about this one OP? If it's little home repairs like buttons and hems you're looking for make sure you're searching for 'hand sewing' rather than sewing, as the latter will probably bring up results aimed at machinists.
