I am thinking of asking for one for my Christmas present. I'd love to hear what people who have used one think of them.

forgot to add, you can buy sizzix die cuts from \link{http://www.diestodiefor.co.uk/products.php?cat=9&pg=1\here} £1 for a pack. come in different colours

Hi, just an update, I got the machine and of course blew all the money I had ever saved from selling my crafts on dies for it!

I love it, spend about an hour every evening cutting out bits for my cardmaking and doing up bags of die-cuts and card toppers for our craft stall. I even took a bag of die-cut to the school and invited them to use my services!

Champs, let me know if you want to come over and play!

I looked at the die-cuts website, well I'm undercutting them - 20 pieces for a £1 or 50 assorted for £2.

Only trouble is I have a limited range of dies (about 12 I think) but I am planning to build on that. Next birthday I want an alphabet!

arrrggggg

I am trully jealous... can you tell??

You'll no doubt make up the money to buy an alphabet with the money you make from selling cards and die cuts.
Which dies have you got?? did you go for the convertor too??

I am soooo tempted to come and have a play (ooer)
Maybe we can have a meet-up

Dies I have:
Large rectangular jelly frame
Large oval scallop frame
medium butterfly
medium gifts
small dies:
double heart
flower #1
leaf#4
teddy bear
birthday cake
star

sizzlits love set
converter

I don't get on very well with the sizzlits, mostly they don't cut right through without shims and extreme pressure - is there some kind of knack with using them?

If anyone knows where I can buy the large die with four squares on it I'd be grateful. I know I can order it on the internet but I don't want to pay P&P just for one die.

Champs, you are very welcome - just let me know when you are free.

how much of a bargain is that - how much are they in the shops?

SoupDragon · 17/03/2005 21:34

Do they usually some with some dies included? This (and another similar priced ebay auction) don't mention dies at all other than to say they're available for free P&P.

i have the eyelets etc and struggled with what to do with them for ages. but even tho' i now have more ideas i still don't use them a lot as the hammering wakes up the kids!!

think i'd like to see that wire thing in action first. i am going to investigate further.

are they the one sthey call 'silent setter'?

my hole thing seems to have gone blunt- i'v ereally got to whack it with a big hammer

Dingle · 21/03/2005 11:17

AQ, ask around before buying yourself a wire jiggy thing!! I have heard some bad reports about them - that the pegs don't always stay put! It's always the negatives that stick- I am sure there are lots of people who find it wonderful though!

AuntyQuated · 21/03/2005 17:44

have seen a local shop advertising classes to learn how to use them, so may give them a try first dingle. thnaks

AuntyQuated · 23/03/2005 17:40

jaysmum
