Crochet Hufflepuff scarf - colours and yarn weight

Hello, my SIL has asked me to make my nephew a Hufflepuff scarf. I'm trying to work out colours, but am limited to online.

Normally I'd use Stylecraft special DK and probably Sunshine and black.

Given time constraints, I wondered about using Aran or chunky yarn instead, and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on colours or weights? Google is only helpful up to a point I'm finding!

Thanks

I have just, today, ordered yarn for a hufflepuff scarf for my daughter!
I am using a pattern in a HP crochet book.
The book recommends Cascade yarns 220 super wash Aran in #821 Daffodil and #815 Black ( Aran weight, medium #4, 137.5m per 100g).
I ordered online from Lovecrafts.

@languagelover96 some Ravenclaw items are blue and silver, while apparently blue and bronze is more authentic.

I would check which the recipient is hoping for.
