oh no Lazy I'm sure you will have a great time once you are there - anything that involves arranging things with my family usually turns into a frustrating nightmare even without Covid (I'm looking at you BIL and SIL) so I sympathise.

Sorry to hear that lazy. You’re perfectly entitled to have a pity party. Get it all out now so you can hopefully still enjoy your birthday weekend. I think most of us have had a pity party at some point over something we’ve missed due to Covid.

Oh @lazylinguist that's totally rubbish. Sorry. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time anyway but it is disappointing.

I've finished the hat and wrist warmer set for my mum. It's so thick and snuggly!

I've got 1/4 of a scarfs worth of ends left...I'm bored of them now 🙄

I started a new blanket so I had a no thinking project going into the autumn. I may start over though as it seems to have shrunk from the starting chain and I think I want it a little bit wider. I also need to get to get some more silver after pup got into the drawstring bag it was in!

Oh I've just logged on, what a pity lazy go crazy on lovely food, drink and yarn shops to cheer yourself up!

We did our big drive today and I've finished one sleeve and about 5 repeats to do on the other but I'll have ran out of yarn after that. I do have a different colour but the designer said stripes weren't in the spirit of the original pattern for the test knits so I'm suspecting colour blocking might fall under that category too.

I still haven't finished my jumper . Four rows to go and I haven’t had time today!

I've done three panels of the thread cottage so far. They're quite quick to make, but a little fiddly.

@lucysmam - yes that does look fiddly (but very good!).

Well... I've finished the final knitted row of my jumper, but the i-cord bind-off finish to the sleeve is going to have to wait until I get back from my trip. It's annoying to leave it so nearly finished, but it requires some concentration and I don't want to mess it up!

@CrochetBug I love the yarn you've used on your mums bits! I agree they do look very autumnal!

tiz oops! Fortunately our lab has grown out of his cat phase and leaves my yarn alone now. Although he obviously still walks past wagging his tail and sends my yarn flying onto the floor where it can collect labrador fur.

lucysmam that looks really fiddly. It’ll be really pretty when it’s done.

tizwozliz a labrador that doesn’t favour food over everything else?!?! Our lab will give up things he shouldn’t have for an empty closed fist with a “what’s this?” He’s an eternal optimist

4 letters worth of ends to go...🤣 We watched Cruella earlier so I managed a fair few then. Very impressed with the film, both girls enjoyed it too. & the costumes were fantastic.

I've finished the back of my sweater - very pleased with it!

It's her puzzle feeder @MerylSqueak - it contains exactly the same type of food as in her bowl but she'll choose to solve the puzzle to get the food rather than just eat from the bowl

I forgot to share a photo of my mum in her poncho that she made. Excuse the fact it clashes with her trousers (she only put it on to show me), and that we did a photo shoot in Tesco carpark
