I tend to find or and least I think I am quite a slow crocheter. Its taking me a good few hours to do three rows on a super long scarf the yarn is dk and a 3.5mm hook.
Do you get faster with practice?

You'll definitely get faster with practise but I'm still not very fast (I'm not a fast cross stitcher either) and I've been crocheting for years now Blush

Just started crocheting during the first lockdown. Have got up a reasonable speed now although I usually just do granny squares in various variations. I can do 20 in a day if I'm just sitting watching TV. I just made this bag in about 5 hours watching TV

The pic is from the website BTW, mines is identical except I crocheted the handles on the wrong way round. I'm working on the second one now, expect to have it finished by tomorrow.

I'm really slow! And a slow knitter too! I never seem to get much faster...

I'm quite fast, although slower obviously if following a pattern.

I don't have to look at what I'm doing though, which helps.

Still can't knit fast though, and I've been doing that for forty years! I always seem to get a needle caught in my armpit, or sleeve, or something... I'd like to be able to knit better.
