have liked the look of but never spent much time flicking through - any subscribers/regular readers who can say whether is it worth the (fairly heavy) investment?

I have only flicked through but it seemed very much more (very considerable) style than substance to me.

it is 'high brow' gallery orientated textiles, and over priced! there are cheaper ones out there, i like -

marie claire idees - its all in french but stunning photography, ideas, projects and patterns, its quarterly and about £16 for 4 issues

cloth, paper, scissors - is american, but you can get hold of it here, they have a website and you can sign up for their weekly newsletter

cotton time - japanese publication, but if you google it for an image search, loads of pages will come up. i copy them to my desktop in an inspiration folder

'stitch' or 'embroidery' - both produced by the embroiderers guild
