Complete Beginner Baby Blanket. Help!

Does anyone have any recommendations for baby blanket kits for beginners or other craft kits? I can just about knit. I CANNOT crochet.

My beautiful niece has had her baby very early. I thought I had time to muddle through something. I really, really want to make something for her and baby
.We are very close so she will appreciate it . Any suggestions? Help!

If your budget will stretch to it, you might like to try a kit from Wool Couture. I'm not a knitter myself but my teen DD has just finished knitting me something lovely from a kit I got from there. I don't know anything about their baby wool but the photos look delightful.

Oh! Thank you SageRosemary! I think the stripy baby blanket is just about my skill set 🙂. Such beautiful things there. Including dare I say, the most gorgeous Christmas kits!

Some of these might be a bit challenging but she also has some nice simple premature baby hats/cardigans etc to knit. Happy to explain terms used if you try any in future, these were the first cardigans I made and were actually quite easy.
