Quick but interesting shawl pattern?

I rashly said I'd produce a crochet shawl as a raffle prize, using some self-striping yarn I've got hanging around. Any ideas for a quick pattern as I need to produce it within two weeks? I like the virus shawl pattern but feel like a change, so something fairly similar would be good.

I like the Mijo crochet patterns - Secret Paths and Lost in Time are free on her website. They are fairly simple repeats and look lovely with self-striping yarn.

I made this one to show off a gradient yarn cake. The pattern is easy to remember and quite plain. It might not work as well if the stripes in your yarn are more sudden colour changes though.

I've also done this one using a thinner yarn than recommended (It's a Wrap I think)

I’ve made lots of these

I’ve got a leftover cake I might try the Aprilis pattern with. Thanks Soup.

This was mine. It was proper mindless crochet so good for TV watching etc!

I like that it is plain enough to appeal to most tastes. I wear it as a scarf - kind of like a bandana.

Love that. This is my cake, left over from my last baby blanket - I think it could make a really cheerful, scarf / shawl.

Thanks so much, everyone. Now I've got a lot to work through!
