I'm trying to learn to make Sylvanian Families clothes. Pretty much just for myself. Anyone else done doll clothes making? have any tips? Advice?

My big issue is fraying edges. They're way too tiny for me to hem. Im not terribly advanced in sewing. I brought a seam sealant which i've heard will stop the fraying!

I used to have a collection of 2" dolls I sewed clothes for. My tip would be choose fabrics you don't generally need to hem (I often used socks/old vest fabric). You can also use things like ribbons and lace which come with an edge.

You can glue edges to stop them from fraying, however it tends to then make the edges stiff.

You can also use tiny beads to look like buttons, and a pen to make little marks (eg to look like a pocket) which can look effective. Velcro is the easiest fastening although I sometimes used tiny press studs.
