Painting designs on windows (temporary) - what paint/pens are best? Any ideas?

On my local forum a poster was asking for someone to paint a Christmas design on her window (quite a popular thing round here). I offered to do it but although I have done murals before I haven't done window painting. Dh looked on the web and found these which look pretty good but I would like to speak to someone who has used them first! Also the girl in question wants a disney princess and obviously there is no "skin" colour in their range so not sure what to do about that.

Or - if you have done window painting before, what have you used?

Ds had a kit thing once, that included translucent pva plastic based paint.

You traced through acetate, used paint, let it dry, and then peeled them off and stuck them onto a window. They could easily be peeled of there as well

I'm sure acrylic paint with a lot of pva in would do the trick

I was wondering about that fizzbuzz (acrylic and pva) - might have an experiment on my own windows first

Can't use the acetate/peel thing - design is too big really.

Thanks for the idea though!

I'm sure glass or plastic would act as a support

Or lots of acetate sellotaped together, or sticky back plastic. Or even cling film would support it

Thanks fizzbuzz. Anyone else done temporary painting on windows?
