How to make my small square of knitting into a blanket?

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place if if there is a special knitting section?

I have learnt to knit (very poorly) and managed to make a rectangle. I don't think I can make a bigger but because it is the length of my knitting needle?

But I am thinking I could do maybe 4 or 6 rectangles and then connect them to make a woolly blanket?

Is this possible?

I've joined squares together to make a blanket so you should be able to join your rectangles.

Yes, you can sew knitted panels together. Generally, people make patchwork knitted blankets from squares knitted from corner to corner, because those keep their shape better, but you can use your rectangles to make a blanket.

Yes. Knitted blankets are snuggly and the best. I have ana amazing one my Nan made when she was very elderly. It's a mess to look at but it is the warmest, loveliest thing! And because it's scruffy it come with me even if I go camping, so it gets used all the time.

Great thank you, I am going to make 3 more rectangles then, and then tackle putting them together!
