I want to make a Sensory tag blanket / square toy for my baby that cri kles when scrunched, but what fabric do I use for the crinkly noise making bit?!

Also any other suggestions of ai ole sensory sewing projects I can make?

Sorry for typos! One hand holding the baby!

I think (it's quite a few years ago now) I used a big crinkly bag that was supposed to be for cooking a turkey in? Or something like that. I bought it in quality save/home bargains, I do remember that.

Cereal packets! That come with cereal inside the box

I made a smaller one with patches of different fabrics - velvet, shiny fabric etc colours and stripes and put the “window” part of a window envelope inside one piece to give the crinkle.

We've used foil blankets.

Thanks for these suggestions! Can these materials go through the washing machine safely within a Sensory blanket toy thing though?
