Cant knit very well, but want to knit dd a doll for xmas, where do I start ?

I can do plain ad purl and thats about it. I would love to knit dd a doll for xmas, any idea where I start please ?

OOooh bensmum I've got a lovely pattern for a doll somewhere, it's just stocking stitch with a bit of increasing and decreasing - can look it out for you if you want? Think it's a Prima pattern.

Otherwise, have a look at my thread with links to free knitting patterns, I'm sure there are some on there.

Failing that, what about stuff by Jean Greenhowe? There's a free pattern for a simple doll on her website. I've got most of her books so could lend you one if you want.
