Has anyone ever used velcro to shorten school blazer sleeves?

My sewing skills are not great and I think I'm likely to do less damage to the blazer using velcro. Has anyone ever tried it? Does it work? Thanks.

Google wunderweb. No sewing involved. Just ironing. You can get online or even my little local shop sells a version if it in the bits and pieces section.

Velcro is really hard to sew on. You can get stick on stuff though. I don't think it's the ideal solution though. Try a tailor's that does alterations - they'd do a proper job on it.

Thanks Frolicking- I will definitely look into wunderweb.

Thanks Wheres - I think alterations tend to be quite pricey so I think I'll try wunderweb and see how I get on.

You need to take the sleeves up by creating a tuck in the lining of the sleeve which will shorten the sleeve by pulling it inside.
