I hope someone can help me. I keep starting knitting and then other things take over and I stop, just been furloughed and so thought it would be a good time to start again.

I've started a new knitting pattern this weekend and its coming on slowly but well. The problem I'm having is that I've started getting a lot of pain down my left hand side between my shoulder and neck.

I've started this jumper that looks really pretty and I don't want to have to abandon it.

Are there any exercises / knitting techniques I can try to lessen the pain?

Make sure you're sat up properly instead of hunching your shoulders forwards. Make sure you're stretching out every 15 minutes and don't spend too long at a time knitting. I've killed my shoulder crocheting so I feel your pain

Thank you for replying, that's really helpful. All very good ideas that I have not been doing.

No problem! I'm having to take a break because I haven't been mindful of doing it either. Hopefully I'll be back to it soon
