Or maybe we should have a virtual Mumsnet craft show? The local village show has posted its schedule for this summer's event. It's a lovely, low-key event with a lot of flexibility in the classes. The prize for winning a class is (drum roll) £2.
So the craft categories for this year are:
"Weather” Snapshot (size 7”x5”)
Any Embroidered Article
Article in Tapestry or Cross Stitch (mounted or unmounted)
A Cushion Cover (Any Craft)
Any Knitted Article
Handmade Anniversary Card (any craft)
Best Wrapped Parcel
A Pencil Drawing (A3 or smaller)
Fresh Floral Arrangement in a Milk Jug not exceeding 8”x8”
Now I'm up for having a go at all of them apart from the last two - drawing really isn't my thing and neither is flower arranging. Last time they had an "any knitted article" category I made a knitted afternoon tea with little cakes and presented it on a cake stand.
