Just back from hols where I have spent my evenings in a rustic french house, knitting and crocheting. Want to know what everyone is knitting, mainly because I'm incredibly nosy..

rantinghousewife-- LOL not worried about stalking (looks suspiciously over shoulder) but its a lovely recipe and very easy... have finally finished my scarf i was on about and now at a comple and utter loss as to what to make...

Highly recommend trying tunisian crochet. I bought a hook yesterday & had a practice with some mercerised cotton yarn (I figured I'd be able to see what I was doing easily & would be less likely to split the yarn).

It's actually really simple to just do the basic crochet stitch & it gives a beautiful fabric. Decreasing & increasing looks simple too (altho' haven't tried it yet) although the purl stitch looks a little more complicated.

Oh GB, glad you had a go, you've inspired me, going to order some hooks tonight and have a go. Had a good read through the an old crochet book I've got and looks fairly straightforward but, I need to actually DO it to understand it iyswim. Let me know what you eventually make.
