Iirc you're in Norfolk? So close enough to this wonderful woman - helenhowes-sewingmachines.co.uk - who does up and sells vintage machines including treadles and hand wheels. Have a look online and give her a call to visit and try a machine? There's also a vintage sewing machine group on Facebook where you'll see a ton of treadles and can ask all the "stupid" questions you need
