Using old knits

Hi there, I’m after a bit of advice, or at least sense checking!
My mum recently passed away. She was a good knitter and knitted a fair few jumpers for my kids. I’d like to do something with them rather than have them stored away. I was thinking along the lines of unpicking them and then trying to piece them together as a blanket/throw, but would be very open to other suggestions of what I could do with them. I’m a reasonable knitter myself so well able to do something useful with them and fill in any gaps I think. TIA.

Sorry to hear about your mum, Dinodiva Flowers. What a lovely idea to do something with her knitting.

I've seen cushions made from knitted jumpers and the like, would that work do you think? I like your idea of a throw or blanket too. If the jumpers are made from wool, as opposed to acrylic, you could try felting them.
